Overview
Fire reinstatement of a working golf club — fabric, structure and interiors, so members could return.
The brief
Fire damage only becomes a proper scope after opening-up. The clubhouse had to come back into use without the job running through a whole season.
Scope of works
- Investigative strip-out and agreed reinstatement scope
- Masonry repair and a new steel staircase
- Joinery, decoration and interior finishes
- Building control and a written variation trail
Outcome
A clubhouse back in service on a programme the client could follow, with cost-plus only where the fire had hidden the full extent.
